What is Oscar Solutions?

OSCAR Solutions are tools and add-ons that are fully integrated with the OSCAR EMR, making day-to-day tasks more accessible and convenient both for care providers and patients. Some of the tools available with Oscar Solutions include the miDASH patient portal – with online appointment scheduling, IntelliFY text and email appointment reminders, IntelliDASH clinic dashboard, and RapidRX electronic prescription renewals (in Ontario only).

What is the miDASH suite?

The miDASH suite is an integrated clinic solution, which includes an online patient portal, online appointment booking, along with appointment reminders (IntelliFY), fully integrated with the OSCAR EMR.

How will miDASH benefit my clinic?

Evidence suggests that using a patient portal can increase overall clinic efficiency by reducing call volumes in regards to lab results and appointments booking, as well as reducing follow up appointment requests with regards to lab results.

What is RapidRX?

RapidRX is an online prescription refill request (available in Ontario only) where pharmacists can view patient’s existing medication list, and send refill requests to the physician, on behalf of the patient. Physicians can then accept, reject, or modify the request. Pharmacists notify the patient when the refill is ready.

What is IntelliDASH?

IntelliDASH is a clinic dashboard that harvests clinical and operational data to provide real time feedback, to optimize clinic efficiency.

Is my information in miDASH secure?

miDASH is committed to ensuring all Personal Information is protected. We have physical, electronic and procedural safeguards in place to help prevent unauthorized access and to maintain data security, thereby preventing unauthorized collection, use, or disclosure of personal information. All Personal Information shared with us is always securely stored within Canada.

Does miDASH provide medical advice or explanations on results?

No, patients should direct all questions regarding healthcare, including lab results and medical imaging reports, to their health care provider directly.
